Album:
Acoustic Spoken Groove

Way out of the realm in which my eyes perceive,
Stretching beyond the bounds of this locked down, set in place, physical reality,
More than I can run, drive, fly, reach, smell, feel or dream,
Past the limits of my mental maze, analytical gaze, blazing fast and farther than the rays of starlight’s firstborn gleam,
All surrounding, touching the beginning and dreaded ending of my spirit’s eternity,
Close to me, is Your mercy.

Never giving up, not even close to breaking down,
Always the last one to bolt for the door, even when I’m not around.
You’ve been here or there, wherever my quick steppin’, shifty slide decided outcome landed this
ridiculous looking clown,
Tryin’ to get away would be like trying to outjump a rocket ship with glue stuck to the bottom of
my shoes.
I’d lose a height contest with Your inescapable presence faster than a dwarf with a magic
beanstalk shooting up to the clouds.
You’re so real it vaporizes the meteors of my doubt, throws them out with the trash of everything
I could hope to imagine, conjure or pretend,
My faithful friend.

I’m defended in my weakness, overwhelmed by Your mountainous strength,
Towering peaks of mighty goodness challenge me to assault their steadfast, anchored flanks,
The lengths I could dig and never find an end to your treasured mines filled with dazzling
emerald caves, crested waves of pure, innocent, unchangingly kind thoughts.
My mouth drops in wonder, hits my knees like trees crashing to the ground,
Erupts in sounds of oooh, and yes, and yippee yeehaw yabadoo at the summits piled high with
Your virtue

Endless depths of thought filling vast oceans of Your planned design,
Causing men and animals to thrive and multiply,
Allowing the rain to fall, breeze to blow, sun to illuminate, radiate heat and shine,
Even on the evil until the final judgment of mankind,
I’m incapable of exploring the immense chasms of Your order,
Explore the unknown floors of Your sea of wisdom or how You’ve rescued me time after time.

Your love is so precious to me, God.
Under your covering is the shelter of rest and peace where men can sleep, stop their weary feet.
You feed us and satiate our hunger with the bounty of Your palace’s endless stores.
And when I can’t endure the droughts of life any more,
You bring me to the river of Eden to drink, a garden of liquid pleasures where all my fear and
worries sink.
Drinking you, I find the gushing, flowing fountains of life
And blinded by Your light, my childlike eyes have found their sight.
