I wish I could see you,
The moon sheltered in its pale glow from the light flowing round your cheeks,
Hear your breath speak from the movement in your heaving breasts,
Tresses softly tasting rest upon your head,
Saturn glowing yellow rays from midnight skies to milky feet,
The warm smell of peaceful dreams holding you in sleep,
So near, the twitches of your eyelids send ice-breaking blows past every barricade,
Hiding place, earthen mound of my defenses
How I’m shattered at the dawning of your gaze, seeing me,
Opening with streams of wonder into me,
The simple lyric dance, discovers history,
All the cloud veiled night opened, drawn back, golden
Lighting wings, fluid draping and touching,
Erupting through expanding atmosphere current tides,
Heaven residing, uniting in outstretched finger joints,
Sensory epidermal explosion layers of security wrapping each minute glance,
Laughing joy at holding hands, falling headlong into late night laundry dances,
Cooking sprees, raking mounds of sweet aroma colored leaves, pollen bees,
The humble hidden prayers from tired knees
Toss their yearn to a God who sees you,
Knows me, waits for we to break out of His womb of trust,
Shake the starlight dust off our woven suits,
Taste the fruit of joy that gives life
In twinkles caught after sunrise,
Hair curled round your temples,
The moist rush from expanding lungs,
Beauty escaping your moonlit lips,
My pen quivers at the trembling in my wrists,
Falters for a future, treasured kiss
Wanting to miss your being near,
The moments thrown in avalanche heaps of grace,
A race of patient days,
No disguise of brightly boyish eyes
Waiting to see you.
